How to Create User Account on Windows 8

Windows 8 is the latest operating systems developed by Microsoft Corporation. User interface and OS platform is improved compare to Windows older versions. Nowadays, most of computer or laptop users prefer to use Windows 8 as their operating system because has advanced user friendly features.

Creating user account on Windows 8 is very helpful and several users can easily share a single laptop or computer. Each and every user will access their own account by using username and password. User accounts manages which files and programs users can access and limited access privileges will be given to the local users.

How to create user account:

Step 1: First, Open Microsoft Management Console by clicking the Start button and then typing Microsoft Management Console in search box, and then press Enter key.‌

Step2: Administrator permission required if you’re prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

Step 3: Next, click on Local Users and Groups on the left pane of Microsoft Management Console.

Step 4: Click the Users folder and the on Action option. Next, click on New User and type the appropriate details in the dialog box, and then click Create.

Step 5: Finally, after completion of user accounts, click on Close option.

Incase if you don’t find Local Users and Groups this is due to snap-in hasn’t been added to Microsoft Management Console.

Then just follow simple steps

  • In Microsoft Management Console, click the File menu, and then click Add/Remove Snap-in.
  • Then, click on Local Users and Groups, and then click Add option.
  • At last, click on Local computer, next click Finish, and then click OK.
